The Concours of Elegance Announces New International Concours Photographer of the Year Award
The Concours of Elegance today announces a new International Concours Photographer of the Year award to be presented at the Palace of Holyroodhouse Concours of Elegance 2015, held between 4-6 September. Inspired by the fantastic photography generated at each of the previous Concours of Elegance events – Windsor in 2012, St James’s in 2013 and Hampton Court Palace in 2014 – the Concours of Elegance has decided to award a trophy to the best amateur image taken at one of the world’s largest Concours events.
Dario Franchitti to Showcase Prize Cars at Concours of Elegance 2015 in Scotland
Scottish racing driver Dario Franchitti will be showcasing three cars at the Concours of Elegance 2015; each of the pace cars he won for his three Indianapolis 500 victories. It’s an Indianapolis 500 tradition that the winning driver takes home the pace car from that particular event, and Franchitti won Indianapolis in 2007, 2010 and 2012. Parked outside the Palace of Holyroodhouse at this year’s Concours of Elegance will be Franchitti’s 2007 Chevrolet Corvette, 2010 Chevrolet Camaro and 2012 Chevrolet Corvette 427.
