AN INTRODUCTION
Alongside Hilton Coachworks, Peter founded Hilton & Moss in the early 2000s as a business dedicated to classic car service and restoration.
Castle Sportscars in 2001 dedicated the sales, service and repair to Lotus Cars. In 2020 Hilton Group acquired Bespoke Performance – a business dedicated to the sales, service and repairs of TVRs.
In 2022 after two years of construction Hilton Groups new facility meant that a newly rebuilt Hilton & Moss is now able to offer: Restoration, Service, Sales & Storage of Luxury Classic & Performance cars all on one site.

300 SL GULLWING
Hilton and Moss are delighted to bring this Mercedes-Benz 300SL ‘Gullwing’ to the market. The W198 300SL is an incredibly rare machine with roughly 3,000 vehicles ever leaving the Sindelfingen factory split between both Coupes and Roadsters. Finding a vehicle that has not been fully restored and is presented in a near original and preserved condition is an even rarer feat.
This red example was supplied in May 1956 to New York and sold to a Dr Moffett of Denver, Colorado who kept the car until 1972. Dr Moffett had not used the car for the part of his ownership. The car then remained in its second ownership until 1989 when it was acquired for an English collector.
