The Concours of Elegance, presented by A. Lange & Söhne, is delighted to reveal the full car list for its 2025 show. The 14th edition of the show, Europe’s premier concours d’elegance event, will assemble an exquisite array of the world’s rarest and most significant motor cars at Hampton Court Palace in west London, UK from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th September.

2025’s show will feature 75 of the world’s most coveted automobiles, all sourced from leading private collections. Many of the cars on show will never have been seen in public before. The full sweep of automotive history will be represented, from early automotive pioneers to 1930s art deco masterpieces, 1950s sportscar racing heroes, bespoke prototypes of the 60s and 70s, to the rarest hypercars of more recent years. Here are just a few cars to look out for.

1926 Rolls-Royce Phantom I ‘The Phantom of Love’

Perhaps the most decadent motorcar ever created, this legendary Phantom I represents the ultimate expression of devotion. Commissioned by Clarence Gasque, financial director of the UK division of Woolworth retailers, as a breathtakingly opulent gift for his wife, the car cost an incredible £6,500 when new – at a time when the average UK house price was just £500. The palatial Rococo interior features Marie Antoinette-inspired design elements, including Aubusson tapestries that alone cost over £500 and took 9 months to produce. Elsewhere there are gilt decorations, and porcelain vases filled with flowers that would ‘never die’ – symbolising everlasting love. This extraordinary machine remains entirely original nearly 100 years later.

1951 Ferrari 212 Export Vignale Barchetta

The crown jewel of three exceptional 1950s Ferraris on display, chassis 0098E is one of only four Barchetta versions created by Vignale from the mere 27 Export chassis produced. This extraordinary time capsule retains its original engine, gearbox, suspension, and even the distinctive Similpelle beige interior fitted in the 1950s. Originally delivered to Pietro d’Acquarone – one of Italy’s wealthiest men at the time – this remarkable machine began life as a Berlinetta before being transformed by Vignale into the stunning Barchetta configuration. Despite its museum-quality preservation, 0098E has participated in the Monaco Historic Grand Prix, Modena Cento Ore, and the legendary Mille Miglia in recent years.

Ferrari F40 LM

Part of ‘The Collector’ display, which showcases a secretive private collection appearing in public for the first time, the F40 LM is a super-rare high-performance, track-focused variant of what many consider to be the most iconic Ferrari: the F40. The LM was lighter and featured more aggressive aerodynamics than the standard car, a more hardcore version of an already uncompromising and intensely focused machine. With only 19 examples ever built, the show will offer a chance to see this near-mythical precursor to modern track-focused hypercars up close.

1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR – Targa Florio Winner

Also featuring in ‘The Collector’ display, this Targa Florio-winning example might just be the most desirable 911 of all time. Evolved from the seminal 911 Carrera RS, the RSR took weight reduction and performance to new levels through meticulous engineering refinement. Its lightened fibreglass body featured distinctive fender flares to accommodate wider racing slicks, while the pared-back interior contained only the essentials needed for racing. Powered by a howling naturally aspirated flat-six, it proved devastating on tracks around the world, with this particular example claiming victory at motorsport’s most challenging and prestigious road race, the fearsome Targa Florio.

1970 Mercedes-Benz C 111-II

Leading a spectacular trio of Mercedes-Benz machines, this visionary experimental super sports car first captured the world’s attention at the 1969 Frankfurt International Motor Show. Powered by a four-rotor Wankel engine delivering 350 hp, the C 111-II could reach speeds of up to 186 mph. With its extreme wedge shape, gullwing doors, and pop-up headlights, the C 111-II not only pushed technical boundaries by introducing glass fibre reinforced plastic and innovative joining techniques, but also shaped Mercedes-Benz’s image of sportiness and luxury for generations to come.

1955 Mercedes-Benz W 196 R Formula One Car

One of the most successful and technically advanced racing machines of its era, this particular chassis carries exceptional historical significance, having delivered Juan Manuel Fangio to victory at the 1955 Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort. Its eight-cylinder inline engine produced 290 hp, and the car’s design – adapted for winding circuits with a straight intake manifold and revised drum brakes – helped Fangio secure his second World Drivers’ Championship title. The W 196 R remains an enduring symbol of Mercedes-Benz’s motorsport prowess from the golden age of Grand Prix racing.

1953 Ferrari 250 MM Vignale Spyder Series II

Part of a trio of 1950s Ferraris on show, chassis 0390 MM holds the distinction of being the 31st and final Ferrari 250 MM ever built, making it perhaps the most significant example of this legendary racing series. This extraordinary machine represents the pinnacle of Ferrari’s early 1950s competition development, featuring distinctive Vignale Spyder bodywork with three oval portholes, triangular rear fender cutaways, and the characteristic flat-cornered hood with ventilation slots. Delivered new to American racing driver Harry O’Reilly Schell in December 1953, it immediately began a successful competition career, securing 2nd place at the Buenos Aires 1000km in January 1954 and competing at the gruelling Sebring 12 Hours.

Other stars of the show will include the ultra-rare 1951 Ferrari 212 Export Vignale Cabriolet (one of only two ever built), the track-only Porsche 935 Homage (one of just 77 examples), the Ferrari 333 SP sports prototype racer, and the 2014 Mercedes F1 W05 Hybrid the – car that delivered Lewis Hamilton his second championship title. These will park up as part of a display of 75 spectacular concours cars, drawn from leading private collections the world over. Outside of the main Concours display there will be a number of special features, including the Levitt Concours — dedicated to the most passionate female owners — the 30UNDER30, which celebrates enthusiastic owners under 30 years of age and the Club Trophy, which gathers the very best examples of models from the nation’s best car clubs.

Away from the automotive displays, Concours of Elegance 2025 will again be an occasion of pure luxury, with champagne provided by Charles Heidsieck, picnics by Fortnum & Mason, and a collection of art, jewellery and fashion displays. Presenting Partner A. Lange & Söhne will once again showcase some of its most intricate timepieces.
