Specialist Dealer Line Up Announced for Concours of Elegance 2023
The Concours of Elegance 2023 will again welcome a truly world class line-up of automotive specialists to Hampton Court Palace, complementing the main Concours display. JD Classics
Excitement builds as JD Classics confirms their participation again in the prestigious Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace. Enthusiasts eagerly await the grand reveal of the hand-built Limited Edition Bentley ‘La Sarthe,’ making its first-ever appearance at the event. Amidst a stunning collection of exquisite cars, JD Classics’ showcase promises an unforgettable celebration of automotive heritage and innovation.
Export 56
Export 56 will be displaying 3 very rare and beautifully presented 914/6GT’s.
In 1969/70 Porsche racing department built 12 x 914/6 GT race cars. Porsche also offered the 914/6 with a M471 Racing option, they were built at the production assembly line and at Bauer with the exception of some specific components, 47 of these customer 914/6 GT’s where built.
Our 3 display cars are Chassis number 914 143 0137, a Werks built Porsche 914/6GT first owned by Eigenbedarfsfahrzeug der (In-House Vehicle of) Porsche AG and one of the earliest 914/6 GT Werks test cars, built using the internal Werks number 914-55. Chassis number 9140431347 it is an exact conversion of the famous Daytona 24 Hour winning car in 1971and is aesthetically perfect. Meticulously built and raced by Export 56 using correct factory 914-6 GT parts. Chassis number 9140432197 it is an exact conversion of the 1970 Nürburgring Marathon de la Route Factory No 1 car (which no longer exists) and is aesthetically perfect. Meticulously built by a Marquee specialist using correct factory 914-6 GT parts.

Inverted EV
The first Inverted 2-door Range Rover Classic (#001) took to the road earlier this year and will be available to see over the Concours weekend. It features a Tesla 80 kWh battery pack and a Tesla Large Drive Unit that produces 450 bhp and 600 Nm of torque, with a 0-60 mph time of around 5 seconds.
Three different drive modes, Eco, Sport and Off-Road provide varying power outputs and regenerative braking levels.
The interior of #001 features a combination of sustainable Mocha leather from Muirhead (the world’s lowest caron leather from the Scottish Leather Group) and contrasting Harris Tweed.

Lunaz
In its latest landmark project, Lunaz has elevated a Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II, built at the marque’s Crewe works in 1960 and first owned by actress Sophia Loren, to fully electric power. Only the sophisticated and celebrated Cloud silhouette remains – every surface, inside and out, has been modernised and upgraded. The vehicle’s coachwork is now finished in a bespoke duotone finish, with the upper portion in Shale over a Rich Gold lower with matching wheel centres. The interior is trimmed in Sage leather with classic Burr Walnut wood detailing; the carpets are in Sedna Quartz with Gray Owl edge binding. As with every car elevated by Lunaz, which includes Bentleys, Aston Martins, Jaguars and Range Rovers, the original petrol engine has been sensitively removed and replaced with a specifically engineered version of Lunaz’s proprietary electric powertrain and battery pack. Like every Rolls-Royce, the Silver Cloud II was engineered for near-silent running, a characteristic the electric powertrain only serves to elevate and enhance. The entire Lunaz elevation process has been carried out at Lunaz’s purpose-built production and research facility at Silverstone, UK.

In 2019, Blizzard Motor Cars launched at the sister-show, London Concours, with a full-scale model of the Blizzard. This year they are returning to the Concours of Elegance with the world’s first completed Blizzard. Attending from 1-3 September, the team will be available to discuss commissions, test drives and possible specifications.
Limited to fifteen examples, Blizzard Motor Cars offer clients the rare opportunity to create their own unique Blizzard. Based on a true, historic Bentley concept and with an immersive build experience, these concours, coach-built cars allow you to step back in time and reimagine the 1950s.
