Honouring the Legacy of Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera at Concours of Elegance 2026

The Concours of Elegance is delighted to announce a new award for 2026: the Finest Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera Award, celebrating one of the most important names in the history of Italian automotive design and coachbuilding.

Founded in Milan in 1926, Carrozzeria Touring became renowned for its elegant designs and pioneering approach to lightweight construction. Its Superleggera method, which combined a lightweight tubular structure with aluminium bodywork, became one of the defining innovations of Italian coachbuilding.

Over the decades, Touring created some of the most beautiful and significant cars ever produced, working with many of the world’s greatest automotive marques. Its designs are celebrated for their combination of technical ingenuity, exquisite proportions and unmistakable Italian elegance.

The new award will celebrate the finest Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera-bodied car presented at this year’s Concours of Elegance, recognising the exceptional craftsmanship, design, engineering and enduring appeal that have made the name synonymous with some of the world’s most desirable automobiles.

The award adds another celebration of coachbuilding excellence to the 2026 Concours of Elegance, highlighting the important role that the great Italian carrozzerie have played in shaping automotive history.

The winner of the Finest Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera Award will be announced at the Concours of Elegance 2026, taking place at Hampton Court Palace from 4–6 September.
